Dear Mike,
On behalf of the Saint Sophia Cathedral community, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous contribution to the L.A. GREEK FEST.
The FEST was a tremendous success again this year in large part because of the sincere consideration of people like you who care enough to assist our festival program efforts. Words alone can never adequately express our appreciation but please know that we are deeply grateful for your thoughtfulness and support in helping to make the L.A. Dear Mike
I want to take this opportunity to knowledge receipt of and express appreciation for the wonderfully generous donation of $500.00 to the UniHi Education Foundation. As you know the Education Foundation is a non-profit corporation under both Federal and State tax laws. EIN number 95-3956506. This letter will also confirm that you did not receive anything of value for your donation.
The support for Uni demonstrated by you sets an outstanding example for all University High Alumni, and encourages support for public education. Because of this generous donation, the UniHi Education Foundation can continue to provide supplemental resources to the current University High Community. Uni has always been a great school, and support like that shown by you will keep it that way. Furthermore, your generosity helps facilitate the task of keeping Uni’s graduates in touch. A plaque with your name will be placed on the wall of Honor at Uni in recognition of this donation.
As you may know, I have recently assumed the position of president of the UniHi Education Foundation. It was an honor to be selected and I take the responsibility seriously. One of my most favorite duties as President is to acknowledge our most recent donors. Your Generous gift of $500.00 puts you among the top of our donors. I would like to personally thank you for you support of Uni. Your Generosity of Uni sets a remarkable standard of support for public education and validates the efforts of all of us who strive to maintain excellence in public schooling.
Again, Thanks you for your support. It is especially gratifying to receive such a showing of support for Uni from a fellow tire burning “child of the 60’s”.
Very Truly Yours,
(Signed)

L.A. GREEK FEST
2002
August 16,17 & 18
Dear Mike,
Just wanted to give you a big thanks and “Yasou” for all of your support and help during the L.A. Greek Fest. You did a fabulous job managing the Taverna, and your additional support by taking an ad in the program book and sponsoring a booth was very much appreciated by the Fest Committee.
As you know, the Fest requires in excess of four months of preparation, and it is difficult with everyone’s hectic schedules to find people like you who are willing to devote their time for a strictly volunteer effort.
We need more people like you that worked long hours without complaint and made a difference in the success of the festival.
Thanks again, and we look forward to your help next year.
Sincerely,
(Signed)

RE: Saint Sophia Camp Tennis Mixer-Game Sponsor
Dear Mike:
On behalf of Saint Sophia Camp, I would like to thank you for the generous donation that you gave to this year’s Tennis Mixer. We are truly grateful for all the donations made to Saint Sophia Camp which make it possible to continue to provide our Orthodox youth a camping program.
This youth camping program was started in the 1950’s by Father Homer and many of the Los Angeles Greek immigrant families. They had a vision that the Greek Orthodox Church would provide a special camp ministry for their children here in Southern California. I am proud to say that we have continued the work started by Father Homer and these founding families.
Saint Sophia Camp has touched the lives of thousands of boys and girls since then. All of this continues to be possible through the support that we receive from donations like yours.
May God Continue to Bestow His Blessings on You and Your Loved Ones.
With Kindest Regards,
